Shipping and Returns

 

Shipping Every instrument sold by A. G. Goode & Co. is shipped fully insured for its purchase value with adult signature required. Shipping is included in the price of every instrument. Each guitar leaves our shop in a quality case/bag, properly padded and secured — packed with the same care and attention that went into building it.

Inspection Period We offer a 72-hour inspection period beginning at the time of confirmed delivery. We encourage you to allow your instrument 24–48 hours to acclimate to its new environment before final evaluation, as wood is a living material and changes in humidity, temperature, and altitude during shipping can temporarily affect neck relief, action, and intonation.

Returns — Undisclosed Defects If your instrument arrives with a defect or condition not disclosed in our listing, contact us within 72 hours of delivery. We will arrange return shipping at our expense and issue a full refund upon receipt and inspection of the returned instrument.

Please note the following are not considered defects:

  • Setup adjustments needed due to climate, humidity, or altitude changes during shipping
  • Natural wood grain variation, minor weight differences, or slight finish variations inherent to artisan construction

Returns — Personal Preference We understand that a guitar is a deeply personal choice. If an instrument is not the right fit for you, you may return it within 72 hours of delivery under the following conditions:

  • The instrument must be in the same condition as delivered, with all original packaging and accessories
  • You must contact us within 72 hours of confirmed delivery to initiate the return
  • Return shipping must use an equivalent insured, adult signature-required service
  • The cost of original outbound shipping (~$150) will be deducted from your refund
  • Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility
