Every instrument is built on spec. When it is gone, it is gone. The next one will be listed here when it is finished.

Crafted for the Studio, Stage & Showcase

I build handcrafted instruments for players who demand uncompromising performance but refuse to sacrifice their artisanal senses. I do not build mass-produced guitars, nor do I chase fleeting industry trends. Every instrument I release is constructed entirely on spec—meaning every choice of wood, hardware, and electronics is deliberately curated on my bench to create an instrument for you to cherish, trust, and most importantly - play.

My instruments are designed to have an immediate strong percussive snap, massive acoustic sustain, a tight and powerful low-end, a strong midrange and sparkly yet rounded highs.  I achieve these qualities by using:

  • Dense woods - deliver exceptional natural sustain, and a highly articulate punchy bass response.

  • Oversized metal inserts and neck bolts - create an incredibly rigid, tight coupling between the neck heel and the body pocket. This high-tension joint forces string energy to instantly reflect off the dense woods with minimal energy loss.

  • Hardware, such as the road proven Gotoh 510FX bridge that maximizes the coupling of strings to the body.

  • Pickups - I use the renowned Seymour Duncan Phat Cat Vintage silencers and their amazing MM Humbucker Alnico Bass pickups, both of which capture all the harmonic details in a rich, organic, never sterile, way.

My "Additive Harmonic Blend System" is amazingly simple, yet massively versatile.  Traditional 3 way switches limit players to either or both pickups in an all or nothing way, and typical blend pots result in weird signal losses and volume drops.

My circuit completely avoids these limitations.  At the center detent of the blend knob, both pickups run wide open at full 100% output.  When completely counterclockwise, only the neck pickup is active.  Completely clockwise and only the bridge pickup is active..

As you rotate the knob, one pickup remains wide open at 100% while the other is smoothly dialed in or out. This functions as a tonal expander rather than a subtractive filter.  Easily add some more girth to your bridge pickup by bringing in a smidge of neck pickup.  Add more cut to your neck pickup by bringing in a touch of the bridge pickup, all without ever losing your core signal strength or volume.

To maximize the sonic range, I use full 1 meg linear taper volume and tone pots.  The large resistance provides substantially more sonic information.  I use linear taper pots (instead of standard audio taper pots) as they allow for finer more detailed adjustments.  If you use your guitar's volume to control your gain, you are going to love these pots.

A blend knob, a master volume and a master tone.  So much from so little!

As said above, I build my instruments to be played.  Being "played" means different things to different people.  I define it to mean played day in, day out.  To do this, not only must the instrument perform, it needs to be trusted to perform when called upon.  To that end I only use top shelf proven components, such as Jescar SS fretwire, Gotoh bridges and tuning machines, CTS and Bournes pots, Seymour Duncan pickups.  All protected in a top of the line Gator Icon case/bag.

Finally, a musical instrument is not just a tool to create art, like say a paint brush, but it is itself piece of art.  As nature is the single greatest artist, I look to nature for my inspiration.  Specifically, in the woods she creates.
